Question for your nuses out there...or nursing students...
What was it like giving your first peri care to a patient? Tell me about your experience. I am dying of nervousness and anxiety just thinking about my first time....Oh dear.... :(
Peri care is way worse than it sounds. It's just something you have to get used to. Usually, if it's a young patient, they have to be pretty sick (or have some sort of debilitating hand surgery) to not be able to wash themselves. Most likely it's an older patient, who has been in the hospital or lives in a nursing home, that's used to having other people bathe them. What province are you from?
